Sounds like you had a nice Thanksgiving. I get the family thing. I didn’t own a home until my 40s and this house until I was 48 and had been living alone up to that time. So, at holiday time I was the single person always invited to dinners since I had nowhere to go. When I finally moved into a real house (my first home was a small co-op apartment) I vowed to make up for lost time and do holiday dinners at my place, even if it was just Carter and me. Over the years, we have had guests, but never more than 6 so we could all fit at the table. No kids table here. The last time we dined away was Thanksgiving 2012. My niece was going to school in Portland, so she visited and we went to a friend’s home. Donna had been my rep for many years, and she had a lovely home on Queen Anne with an incredible view. It was a wonderful day. But Donna has passed away, little Barney is gone, and my niece lives in Colorado. Things just change, don’t they?
