So, tell me about your new camera. Have you always been mirrorless, or is this a new thing? I am not really into mirrorless myself, though I know they are rage and DSLRs are going away. Besides not liking the digital viewfinder, I didn’t like the idea of getting all new lenses. When I switched from Nikon to Canon all those years ago, I kept all my Nikon glass as I still have the last Nikon film camera they made, the F100. So when I switched back to Nikon, I only bought one additional lens to go with what I already had and even though they were 20-year-old lenses, they still work well. But mainly I like the optical viewfinder and don’t find the larger size of the DSLR to be an issue. Last summer I got a D850, which is a great camera and compares quite favorably to the mirrorless cameras. I know it is old technology, but I don’t care. And I don’t really need the camera, I just wanted it and it was on sale. I haven’t really done much with it as it is too much camera for my Google head shots and portraits. The D750 is best for that stuff. I started a project about photographing my nearby park in winter, especially in fog. But I didn’t really gain any traction as I spent the winter coughing with bronchitis and had little motivation to out into the cold. Here is one image I did make. I will probably never get any serious use out of the 850, but I still like having it in the bag. Maybe one day I will give it a serious workout. One of these days.
