I wasn’t prepared for how his ashes would arrive, I guess I hadn’t thought about it. I was getting the free scatter container, so I assumed it might be no different than something the Amazon guys bring. But the vet brought it by personally and it was this nice little gift bag, and his ashes are in a container in a nice little velvet bag. There are also a nice card from vet, with kind, hand written words. When I went to bed last night, I took the little velvet bag out and held it close to me like I was holding Barney. Made me rethink my plan to scatter his ashes in the bamboo patch only to be washed away by the rain. I guess in time the universe will tell me what to do.
